consistantly going through image units w/ this machine. had two that were leaving black stripes on prints, one that grinds and spinning the drum pinpoints the noise to the image unit. Vendor say's machine is causing the units to go- has anyone seen this before. checked drive unit, transfer, etc.
If it's the same machine that pops to mind (I haven't looked it up) I was having mediocre results with OEm and decided aftermarkets were a waste of time...I think it's just a weak cartridge design to begin with and unless they can pinpoint HOW the machine can cause the cartridge to fail I'd say the supplier is trying to cast off blame to avoid standing behind his inferior product...but I'm just cranky that way. -Cope

For what it is worth, we have been having issues with defective cartridges from Kyocera & Panasonic on the KM-650 & UF-5950 Panafax. Panasonic must have a manufacturing problem.. All this does is cause more issues with service and customers getting their credit, claiming the cartridge was just put in last week.
