km4050 comes up with the Code C0060. In the manual it states the pwb needs to be replaced and call tech support. LOL not true, the book is wrong the reason you get the code is because the machine looks at the main and engine eproms and looks to see if the serial numbers match, and if they dont C0060 comes up . The fix is to order the eproms for engine and main bd.
Actually it doesn't say to replace the board: C0060 Main PWB type mismatch error Defective PWB. Contact the Service Administrative Division.
The key here being to "Contact the Service Administrative Division." You were fortunate to correct this one with a firmware update. We had a KM-6030 with the same code, same problem, and we had to send the eeproms and an intermediate board back to KMA for re-programming. Bummer.

correction, after picking up the machine we could not wait so we replaced the main board and fixed the error. I guess tech support dont know what they are talking about.
I just had this same error on a KM 5050 after hard drive replacement. I thought I had all the connectors plugged in but missed one that went into connector YC5 on the main operation unit PWB. This connects to the upper operation unit PWB and the copier would come up with a "Cannot output this paper type to the specified tray" then display the C0060 code.
