We have had three fax M2 fail in these machines in less than three weeks. The machines are new and have been a the customers for just a couple of months. What happens is the fax keeps resending the same document, (it doesn't clear itself but stays in memory), then errors out (something like a 0620 code). Any attempts to cancel the fax through the system menu will also error out the machine. So far, going into the maintanance mode and resetting the fax with U600 will bring the fax back to working order, but I have not had any long term test to see how long this lasts. When I have replaced the M2 fax with the M fax unit, the machine sends the saved document and works normally. Something to watch for.

It did twice for me. Also, General Tech Bulletin #75 pages 5-6 show that the Fax M will work in both the 2560/3060 and 3050/4050/5050 machines and the Fax M2 will only operate in the 2560/3060 models.
