Brand new unit that wouldn't scan in color. No error codes, but the image would be blank or sometimes light blue. No part of the image would show up in the scan at the computer. The only function that would work was black and white. Even the grey scale function didn't work. I did try all the different file types which made no difference. Just for kicks I tried to update the frimware which also didn't help. The fix was to change the ISC PCB under the dark box that connects to the CCD.

It might just be me, but I have not been having the best of luck with the 520i series compared to the falcon series before.

I have that feeling for the Falcon 3's, they just are not that reliable to me, the 420/520 have been working but I lower the fixing temps on them because they seem to run too hot. Chinese junk maybe?
