If you are running the file utility to scan do not update to this version. I fought this one all day. Scanner will connect and the folders will show up, but when you pick a folder you will get a communication error. I finally reloaded the old firmware and was able to scan again. I tried all the different file utilities, different workstations, reformatted the hard drive and nothing worked. I did notice in the release notes something about scan support for e-copy.

I forgot to mention the model was a 4050

I flashed a 4050 and the flash locked during the panel part of the firmware then pulled a cf30 code. I reflashed it with the old firmware and now it is ok. I am not the only one to have this happen.

This firmware also breaks the connection if you're using Kyocapture. It has been escalated to Japan.
