I've been having trouble with a 5500i, so my tech rep forwarded a couple preliminary QA's. They weren't relevant, but I did remember them when I was on another 5500i today. It was jamming (4608) when duplexing. I noticed right away the duplex gate in the exit section wasn't returning. I tore it all apart, checked the solenoid & cleaned it all. Seemed to be alright until I tightened the screws down. Then the solenoid was binding & the gate wouldn't return. Back the lower screw out 1/4 turn & it works fine. Then I remembered the QA. There are going to be spacers coming out to keep that from binding up. Hopefully this will help save someone some time. That's what this is all about.
