Well everybody get ready for back ordered fusing units! If what I saw 2 days ago is any indication of things to come, we will be using a ton of them in the near future. Have a customer with a skewing problem on the trail edge of the paper, turns out to be a bad UFR bushing. The unit has 105k on it. The wear has been happening for a while as the press roller shows less wear on one side. Also, the bushing has a large amount of play on the shaft, black dust every where. As the paper leaves the registration roller the side with more drive causes the paper to twist and causes the trail edge to fishtail. The obvious fix would be a new bushing (both) and maybe a press roller but you KNOW everyone will warranty the whole unit and cause a back order. Good luck and may the force be with you! No HOPE, just BROKE. Anyone else - 2012

Is this an earlier machine? I believe the early production models had some issues, but to my knowledge, they have been rectified. Good to know.. According to bulletin 8198, there were changes to the fuser from the first mass release but no details are given and no part number change has been noted. This machine was not part of the initial release. No HOPE, just BROKE. Anyone else - 2012
