Adobe Reader causing problems

Make sure the customer has an updated PDF Adobe Reader. I spent time trying to make the machine work only to realize that the PC had an outdated Adobe Reader or Acrobat. Problems like:

Locking up the printer
Missing pages on print jobs
Registration problems on scanned pages

can be solved just updating the software.

About compromise...

This can go the other way, too. Been seeing some problems with version 9.xx, such as incorrect fonts, missing pages, print jobs repeating, etc.

I have seen it, started with my machine
the auto update of acrobat reader is not working and new PDFs seem to not work with older versions at all.

then customers had it too.. problem is they are so used to auto update it is hard for them to accept that answer.

had to go to web page and down load last version

Life is good.

I wish KMA would either make the default PCL or the default 'Allow Data Passthrough' unchecked!!!

This problem has gone on WAY to long. They either need to fix it so it works right with Acrobat or change the defaults. It's really NOT impressive to install a new machine and have to 'tweak' something to make it work right. Luke

Relax? When?!

Agreed. This is a huge problem and has almost cost us a number of sales.
