About a year ago I was trying to set up scan to file on Falcon II's for a school district. Each school was on it's own subnet and their servers were on their own subnet.
The scan to file utility wasn't able to traverse the subnets. We ended up just setting up scan to email and I thought we were done.
About a month ago this became an issue again - they wanted to scan larger files and the admin had set up a couple of local workstations to get them by - but wanted to be able to scan from more locations to the server.
I suggested the possibility of using the updated scan to file utility with scan to FTP. While scan to FTP didn't actually work, the regular scan to file method magically did.
Where you using IP addresses or the host name for the PC/Server you where going to? If you where using host names maybe they updated their network so that the DNS was posting out the host names across the different subnets properly now so that the copier was able to resolve the host name.
