Machine has 2.5 Million on it, could not get 5 copies out without a C4200 code, machine would send out a partial copy then 3 or 4 blanks before throwing the code. I ordered a LSU overnight but I had previously ordered a Transfer HVPS for some CQ issues which I have with this machine. (Tip I read from a poster on this board, thanks) Anyway before I tackled the LSU I tried the Transfer HVPS and the machine ran over a 1000 copies without a code or a blank. Part price difference is over $1200,00 so I'm happy.

Blackcat, is that the one that contacts the mixing unit? It wears a hole in it? I have a 6030 giving me background copies about once a month. I reset the laser connectors and it disappears for another month.
Yes sir. That's it. I usually use a very small amount of conductive grease on it, where is contacts the developing unit.
Edit: OK. Cancel that. Forget the conductive grease. More C4200's and light bands crossfeed. Loss of developer bias. It's got to be absolutely dry and clean.

I had a 6030 that gave dark background every 3 or 4 weeks. The laser loom connector above the fuser got contaminated by oil vapour from the web. Cleaned with alcohol, now OK!
