Techs on the west coast, Salem, Portland, and Seattle area, what is the average wage for a copier tech with 6 to 10 years experience. I have only work for one company so I would like to know what other companies pay. Thanks ML.
Well we are farther south, in California, but I will say my new hire techs start at $12 per hour, and most of my techs (w/o computer/network certs)are in the $16-$18 per hour range. Standard employee package on insurance, vac, and such. We do provide company cars.
If you have experience and certifications, you should be able to get 18.00 p/h anywhere, if the company won't pony up the dough; MOVE ON. Don't settle! Remember that you get what you pay for goes BOTH WAYS. Don't fall into the trap of "the job only pays $XX.xx" You are smart for checking out what others are getting paid, do your homework, copiercareers.com has a technician pay study that is free to download or read. Good Luck.
Beware of what you are becoming while on the road to what you want.

Check this site out as well... http://www.bestplaces.net/col/ It allows you to do a Cost of Living comparison between two cities. Very helpful in determining fair wages when you should be taking geographical location into consideration.
