I had a customer ask me to look at her OKI C9600 the problem is the magenta print comes out a burnt orange color. All the other colors look fine. It has new OEM toners and the drum life is at 49%. Any ideas?
It sounds as if the Magenta developer is cross-contaminated with yellow and cyan toner.
You might try printing some 100% fill magenta prints in the hope of depleting the contaminated toner from the magenta unit. This has worked for me on a couple of occasions. It took 75 pages of 100% fill to completely restore the magenta on a CS-C4035E. I did 10 at a time to monitor the progress, not knowing how many it would take.
Otherwise you can replace the magenta AIO unit.

Did you print a 'Menu Map' from the control panel. This gives you all the 'Status Page' Data and at the bottom a small solid block of each of the 4 colors. If the magenta block here is OK try the demo page. The C9600 has a good internal demo page that can be printed from the Control Panel. If these both look good the problem may be in the driver setting (color tab).
If the internal prints still have a burnt orange magenta then it is either the drum or toner. We have seen this before with Okidata products, usually related to expired (aged) drum or toner, or incorrect (wrong model) toner being used. The C9600 has RFID chipped toners so possibly just aged out.
