I think it was from the C5016 manual, here is the cut/paste.

Before removing the LED print head, sufficiently
do to let escape the static electricity
which is electrified in the human body concerning
the metal part and the like of the
aqueduct faucet, after that do that work.

dude, that makes me howl!! Angry

This all started in the 70's when Japanese Technical Writers hired American Secretaries.

If he dictated "Crimb up the radder",or "Worky fine, rast a goood rong time" that's exactly what she typed.

Mita had plenty of "Lump Units"
Sharp referred to "deveroper units" and "carbeuration" (calibration)

My favorite Engrish of all time is on a box of Chinese 7.62x39 ammo I got. "Keep out of children." Seems like good advice.

The clamshell shocks on the DC 4086 were listed as DUMPERS instead of DAMPERS. Sorry I brought up that beast.

When I went to Mitsubishi Fax School (yep, Mitsu). Our instructor, Arnold Dangidang, was from Japan and hadn't had much American food.

The first day's lunch was Chili. I asked "hey Arnie, how's the Chili"? he replied, "I RIKE IT".

Well, you can guess what the buzz words were for the rest of the week.
