The guy answered today, finally, after 5 days of being completely incommunicado. He advised he'd been in the hospital which is why he didn't call me back. He then advised that the machine i had already purchased and paid for was throwing continual "false jam codes" and that he swapped it out with a machine with 5k or so more on the meter. Of course, at this point, I'll take what I can get.
I'll update this thread as soon as I see the machine or even a tracking number. I don't want to throw the guy under the bus if he was really in the hospital but I wired him a couple thousand 10 days ago with the promise my machine would ship a week ago and all I have so far is excuses...
Why did you wire money ? and not use a credit card, or use paypal and a credit card

I haven't dealt with them for probably a good decade. Story sounds very familiar - except I think it was a relative that was in the hospital.
I ordered a machine specifically for the finisher and received it without a finisher at all and was told the finisher wasn't working right and they'd send one as soon as another one came in.
I've seen this with a few of the places over the years. For the last six or so I've exclusively used one guy and have never had a problem. In fact he's been very accommodating - shuffling accessories I need on to a high meter machine to keep my cost down if I just need accessories and occasionally selling me just an accessory.
I don't know if I should post his number directly here but if anyone wants it PM me and I'll give it to you.
If you are looking for km products why bother with wholesalers anyways? I know I get way more machines back from state rentals then I can use most times, and I have seen others who have posted the same. I end up having to sell mine that we don't sell to the wholesalers. I know I rather sell a machine to fellow dealer to help his bottom line vs. a wholesaler.

Used them ONE TIME! We get faxes of their "Promo's" everyday. Ordered a low metered KM-8030 (110K). After removing the faulty print card it was actually over 2M! Return it but all he would do is give us a credit towards something else. 5 MONTHS later we recieved a low metered KM5050.
You never know what you're gonna get from these guys...

The f'n clown wouldn't take AMEX (or any credit card) nor paypal and offered a discount if I wired. I too have been getting faxes from these guys for 5+yrs. Don't ask me why that somehow translated into them being reputable.
I also only needed the finisher w/ hole punch + a fax board and couldn't find anyone that would only sell me those (except new ones which were the same cost as I paid for this machine) which is why I ended up doing what I did.
Finally got a tracking number today, and when I tracked it shows something is coming to me on the 16th. Which is good news. Let's just hope it's what I ordered...

Delt with him 10 years ago and said never again. Meters did not match what we were suppose to get.
Techs have been asking about this guy on Smarka about 3 weeks ago. Just a rip off. Never wire this guy money . He does not have the equipment. He gets your money and then he goes out and finds something similar that he can send you. Meters never match up. Hope things work out for you.

Our machine arrived today, wrapped in bubble wrap and strapped to a pallet with the stand on its side next to it. Straps were broken, stand practially smashed, 3 of 4 casters not working. Broken platen glass, broken scan glass. Back left corner is smashed and frame taken a hit. 3 destroyed plastic covers and the back metal cover is tweaked a bit. And I havent even turned it on yet.
We got a shipment with three new Saturns a couple weeks ago, two of which had tumbled onto their side in the back of the semi. The driver wanted to leave, but I made him wait while we unboxed all three. To my relief they hadn't suffered any damage. If they were smashed, they were going right back with him. =^..^=

Unreal. Sorry to hear that. I'll have my machine tomorrow and will respond with it's condition.
If I were you, I'd advise him that you're working with another dealer or two that we're both going to contact the Florida St. Attorney Generals office regarding his business practices. It's obvious to me that the reason he doesn't accept CC's is because he knows we'd all dispute the charge and send him equimpent back. AMEX and most credit card companies tend to side the their card holder much more than with the vendor.
I found some further damage. The machine was set on 2 blocks of wood, about 3" wide 12" long and 2" tall nailed to a flat pallet. The weight of the machine bouncing on these 2 blocks had also bent the bottom frame. Cassette 2 dosent even come out with out some good encouragement. This is equivelant to jacking up a car putting 2 steel blocks under it then dropping the car. This message has been edited. Last edited by: MitaMan,
I'm furious at this point. Their POS shipping company (Estes) has had my shipment sitting in Chicago, IL for 5 days now. It hasn't moved an inch. I was promised this machine would be delivered 10days ago. It's at least another 5 days out. And I'm guessing it's going to show up like yours did...
Ya like I said. He does not have the equipment. He gets your money and then shops for something close to what you ordered. He is in Florida. What is you equipment doing in Illinois.?? People have compained about this guy for years. But he still keeps finding new people that he can screw over. sorry buddy.
Like W.C Fields said. Aw Yes, never let a sucker keep his money.
Not putting you down. Sorry this scum bag is burning us.

If anybody needs a recommendation - Chuck Gray has ALWAYS delivered as promised and mixed and matched for me. Don't know if he covers the whole US or just the midwest.
Also, for individual accessories I've used Steve Cammarato at OfficeTek (and for expansion memory) without any problems.
