Has anybody tried after market toner lately. If so, what are your thoughts?

I do not use nor do I recommend aftermarket toner REGARDLESS of claims made. I'd rather pay more and have peace of mind using OEM.

Our company does not recommend the use of after market toner. We only use OEM Kyocera toners.

We have had to replace developers using 'generic' toners. Sometimes you will get 'tire marks' grey background, etc.

Even taking the DV's apart; cleaning completely and recharging with OEM toner, you sometimes cannot get rid of the poor quality print. ( We just sell the customer a new developer and recommend OEM toner )

Like KJG said........I do not use nor do I recommend aftermarket toner REGARDLESS of claims made. I'd rather pay more and have peace of mind using OEM.

Ditto on both the above. Generic is definently not worth the pain.

After market toner has cost us so much time and money in the past, that there is no way we will ever use it again.

Aftermarket toner is B-A-D for the machine. Whatever the company saves in toner, it will more than spend on parts/service calls. Everybody tries it, and we all reach the same conclusion.
Even dual component machines, which are fairly tolerant of toner mix, will have problems. I don't know how many Canon 3100 color dev's I've had to replace because the mix ratio gets that far out of whack, the dev's are several hundred each. KM is no exception to the rule, you may get a couple of good batches of aftermarket toner, but all it takes is one bad one, and there goes your savings.
