Do you have anymore information on that part,
Is that from a bulletin or the bulletin number
or a technical document. If so can you post
the document or copy and paste the document here

Yea, its like a ticking noise during idle. Does that part number translate to a Kyo #, it's not in the parts manual? Or like ToddNew asked, do you have a copy of the Tech Bulletin from Shiba you can send or post?

Gazoo, I'll try and see if I can get it. If not try telling kyo about it they might not know about the kit. From what John said its some gears and spacers and something to do with the fuser frame.

toddnew, look at page 6 of 144 and the other is pub 138 something about gears.one more thing. make sure you set the machine to go into power save and you shut the machine down properly. these fusers must "cam out" to save the stress on the fuser. otherwise you are replacing fuser belts every 100K and replacing gears too much.

Gazoo, how did the install of the 550 go. We are getting heavy pressure to pick up the Kyo-Shiba series and would like to know if it is a wise choice.

So far we have installed 2 550c's and 1 750c. Set-up and install is pretty straight forward. Be carefull of technician induced problems.

CAUTION!!!!! When removing a drum assembly, be careful to NOT knock off the small color indication clip on the front of the drum unit. Had one fall directly into the waste toner chute directly below the drum unit. Did not notice it until set-up at customer location. The plastic part jammed the waste auger and coded out. Took a while to find that.

When fixing that he pinched a wire for a drum motor that blew fuse F202.

CAUTION 2!!!! Be more careful when rolling the machine on a delivery. Any small cracks or pock marks in the concrete will cause the machine to buck and snap the casters right off the shaft. Not available until Dec 28, 2009 and cost $103.00. ($35.00 if you know a Toshiba dealer)..

Copy quality has been holding up. Not sure of yields yet. Have had a big problem with Doc Feeders jamming. The hinges bend and shift real easy, so have your delivery staff NOT push the machine around by the Doc Feeder.

Any new issues on the Kyo-Shiba? Recently had a C448 error code issue (fuser temp timing issue), and after 3 attempts at a reset it was OK. Some jamming issues with shinny paper, but 200lb cardstock thru the MP tray works great.

Gazoo, we just put a 650 in and one problem is that they need 4 paper supplies. printing or copying to the machine with APS selected, it will not pull from the bypass. Is there a way around this, that you know of?

During set-up did you set the cassettes and bypass to prompt every time you add paper (Did you change the paper type? message appears) I don't have access to one right now, but I'll check and post when I do.

What I have found out is that when APS is selected the machine will not pull from the bypass. The bypass has to be chosen.
