Cool2 dont know about u guys , but my task alfas are kicking others mfps in the rear...i have seen maybe a few major problems after the latest firmware was installed... have u guys encounter any issues not resolve yet by tech support or firmware...


DUMMIETEK...greatness is in the hands of the beholder... Cool1

not sure what kind of problems you are having, we delivered one last week in the morning and in the afternoon they called back and only could read half of the display the other half was rainbow colored stripes. Had to swap out the touch panel.

No major issues at all. Several boxes out there, customers seem to be happy with them

Brown colored graphics on 40lb stock. It's offsetting magenta by not fully cleaning the primary transfer belt. Got my regional rep involved up to his elbows now, but it's absolutely killing a major account deal right.

For the streaking and background issues I posted a post a while back on how to change the calibration timing to make them run better. I have done this with my machines and it seems to be working fine on the 3225 and the Task Alphas. Also check out QA 8420

My boss told me the 6.02 firmware is coming this week and will have the overlay feature or something, I sure hope it takes care of the back ground

The hot line told me 6.05 or something is coming with the overlay and hope also that it takes care of the background issues, We have had bad dv motors and dv units

Are your customers running the piss out of these?? I have not seen ANY problems with ours so far, but they are in mostly low volume accounts. Guess I must be the lucky one Big Grin

No not really, but some are heavy users
we have replace dv motors, transfer belts ripping,fusers blown,
copies between calls is not good
waste toner bottles fill fast.
Are big issue re-occurring background

yes we are in the same boat
Low copies between call
transfer belt, dv units, background waste bottles fill fast
I hope the new firmware does something, but i have been told that before
