Falling apart? I hardly see one post in the technical section of this site? Would be interested to hear what you're referencing.
I know several Firmware revisions have been released recently.

Of course sales are down! what a lunkhead!, we are in the midst of a depression/recession (what ever you want to call it), and sales have dropped, and can you believe that a first generation Mita is having problems?! T-Dog, you are not a nubee so please 'splain WTF you are trying to do.
Personally I think it is responsible of KMA to stop bonus' and freeze slararies during an economic downturn, just imagine if the banking industry had done that, (maybe I wouldn't be back doing copiers, and I'd still have my IT job at the bank!).
NW is right, if you are seeing problems with the new TaskAlfa, post the problem... not the rumor, we are here to help each other learn and share our fixes so that the next guy doesn't have to beat his head quite as hard against the wall as we did. So what problems have you seen w/ the TA's?

Cool2come on recession/depression thats another strategy so that ur boss don't give u ur well deserve bonus and salary increase...scary tactics always work if i dont want to give u money...what a pitty...all this corp...as well as dealers owners got fat during the boom & now they claim poverty ...give me a break...a good well run business always prepare for times like this...maybe our business is depression proof and believe me it is,but the scary tactics...makes it worse than what it really is...paid ur good techs well and stop crying to much...ur bmw and 500,000 dollars house said so...i dont see konica or canon asking for bail out money...by the way love toyota...LMAO...

DUMMIETEK...another editorial... Cool1

This is the water Cooler section
If I wanted help with a machine problem I would have posted elsewhere
I was just passing along some info from a person I know that works at Kyocera.
If you don’t know Kyocera has been losing market share for years, they have not had good times
In the past to make up for the economy mess we are in now. They are putting all their hopes on the Task alfa and if this machine fails they will lose even more dealers.

You are right T-Dog, that is what the water cooler is for, we all put our opinions here, mine is just differnt than yours Smile.
Mita became KMA for financial reasons, and maybe next year we will be fixing Kmerox machines. I hope that you didn't take my reply to your post too personally, I just like to play con against pro sometimes Confused3, that is what this part of the forum is for.
To address the second part of the post;

, that is just the way the biz goes, always has... they loose dealers, we gain customers, or customers change brands. I cannot count the number of schools that I have attended where this machine (1st generation) was THE BEST machine that they had ever put out, only to have an update class 6 months later for the updated model.
So, no hard feelings T-dog, I just disagreed with you, hope that's O.K with you Cool2

Loosing DEALERS, there are 6 f*****ken dealers in the Pittsburgh area. We are cutting each others throats here. Why Kyocera would let that happen is irresponsable. Well the person that caused that got tossed, so maybe the people that got the wage freeze, do not need a raise. Do not get me started on the good and bad of Kyocera.

At one point kyocera had many single line dealers - With the poor product line through the years, week color, no real hi volume ect
most dealer move to two and three lines.
They may still have a lot of dealers but their unit sales year to year is way down
most of thier market share went to konica

we have sold 4 of these Task Alpha so far in my little branch office so far have not had a problem with them out in the field. I think the machine is more sound then our economy.

I believe with the next round of the stimulus to the bankers they will put tighter restraints and demand them to lend out a certain percentage of everything they get.

Kyocera is a global company and we are in a global crisis with the financials. I hope every Country can get their credit flowing again and start getting back to normal. I am not found of this recession but the one positive note it will teach us all humility, responsiblity, and the ability to appreciate what we have.

Remembering back to Mita before Kyocera took it over and I do appreciate the company and what they have done to improve the Mita brand.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm dealing with sometimes 5 cancellations a week since this summer. All are either downsizing or out of business. Had to let one tech go already, and maybe another real soon if things don't turn around for the economy. We are currently in a pay freeze here also.
