Kinda like the way the Government is. So few people contribute more than their fair share, but the masses stand in line and want to take, even though they do not contribute.

I don't know, I'm thinking that if more guest-type people started posting all the time we would just end up with a lot more useless posts with bad information. I'd much rather have higher quality of posts than a higher quantity...

I only log in when I am posting or replying to a post, so I'm frequently one of those "guests" you are seeing. I suspect that is the case with many others.

If they know how to do a search, perhaps many people are getting the information they require without starting a redundant post.

Good point Chris L, I am also listed as a guest since I am reading or searching for useful info. I use this site for helpful info on machine repairs or what to be on the lookout for. I do not want to clutter inportant threads with useless chatter.
