I was wondering if anyone can report on the usage of the TaskAlpha Color units being operated in a Church environment. How are the machines at producing 350-500 images in one run? I am thinking about churches running the Weekly bulletin or Monthly newsletter, etc.. Is the copy quality consistent? Is color consistent? What about wrinkling, etc.. Would a CS-500Ci be able to run 30,000+ images per month? Any feedback would be great.

About 75% of our Voyager and TA's have been placed in a church environment, full blown w/booklet folders. As long as your firmware is up to date and the max coverage does not exceed 10% you should be ok. We have an account running 50K+ per month. The only issue we have is Friday afternoon's are a nightmare because everyone needs their toner and the machine fixed for the weekend. They always wait until the last min.

Can I throw the BULL**** flag. You have to really adjust the machines for the fill ratio to keep consistent color on these machines. Go to the post done a while back on adjusting the calibration time.

We've only placed one 250 in a church - with booklet folder. They have some graphics wiz in the congregation that does a great job setting up the print, but it REALLY has to chew on it for a while before it starts going.

Other than RIP speed they haven't complained about anything (they don't complain about that anymore after I set the job to spool in it's entirety before it starts to print so they can use it while it's 'Thinking')

Ask not what you can give your country, but what your country will allow you to keep to feed you family.

Can anyone provide any update on the TASKalpha performance in a Church environment? What about toner yields? I am holding out on installing any of these machines simply because I do not want the headaches. I am sure we all have been there, when you are RESELLING the machine over & over to the same account since they are unhappy with the reliability.
