i have a laptop with vista on it .i needed to load a parts and service manual exe dvd.it would take the dvd in and just sit there and lock up the machine .i thought it must be a faulty disc so i got a new one .same thing (it would load on my desktop pc ).as i had to shutdown via the on off switch i kept getting the usual you havnt closed windows down properly and got the usuall choices screen.just on the off chance i loaded vista in safe mode then tried to load my program again and it loaded instantly as soon as i put the disk in .i have tried this with other programs and it works everytime .just thought this might help someone else. brian
