820 "scanner not available" message

I have not gone to this machine yet, customers IT person can bring up Command Center in a browser but the scan button on the machine gives this message. Machine has been there a week with no problems scanning up to today using SFU. Thanks

Usually this message means that the scanner is NIC is not getting a proper network connection. Check the Network drop, check the patch cable and check that the NIC itself is seated properly. Is the IT person sure he's bringing up the command center for the scanner and not the print system?

Network jack was not working, IT and Telecom people were at the account all day yesterday and between the two of then they couldn't figure this out? It's a big Law Firm, I guess it was easier to blame the copy machine and bill the client than just fix whats wrong, and yes elheather they were looking at Command Center for the print system. Thanks for the reply.
