FYI - I was setting up a new Windows 7 Professional computer today for SMB scanning. The computer had Norton installed, so I figured that was why I kept getting 2101 codes. After exhausting all other options, i tried entering the ip address:445 (ex. 192.168.1.xxx:445)as mentioned on Kyocera's Help Desk page, and it worked. I have never had to do this before. I guess this overrides the default 139 port when scanning to this particular computer? This is the first Windows 7 machine I've had to set up in the field, so I'm wondering if they will all have to be set up this way?
I know this is an old post, but just wanted to bump it. I run into this problem when customers upgrade their computers. Port 139 is for netbios, and 445 is for SMB file sharing.
If you already have names in the address book for KM-30/40/5050s and TaskAlfa's, changing the default port for SMB in the Command Center will add :139 (ex. 192.168.1.1:139) to the addresses. You have to go back and remove it from each one.
