Thanks for all your advise with the firmware updates. We are in the process now of updating firmware for a RI-4530. This Copier has the works.
How do we go about updating the Print/Scan System ANd the Finisher. Do we update them the same place as the Copier firmware. Also can we put all update on the same card or do we need to put only Copier FW on 1 card and Print/Scan on another card. THanks Duane Guideline |

Catch me if you can! |
The finisher firmware has been unchanged since fairly early in it's release. The finisher has it's own CF connector on the rear side by the floor. Directions for flashing in service manual.
Print system firmware is flashed separately with the CF slot in the print system itself. The CF card has to be formatted in the printer before writing the firmware to it. Scan and printer NIC are flashed from a PC via network using a utility. The same utility is used to flash both cards, but different firmware is used for each NIC. Utility and firmware available for download from KMA connect, usually is in the list of downloads for each model that uses IB-21e or NS-30 scan cards. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com |
