I don't see that option in any of the documentation I have (Service manual, operation manual, scan system manuals, etc...). I think you're out of luck for scan to FTP on this model. Some models have it... some don't.

If I remember correctly, FTP was added with a firmware update
update the scanner card and machine firmware

If you need to ask where, then I have to assume you don't have username and password access to kmaconnect.com where all Kyocera firmware is accessed.

But just in case you do, check under "legacy devices" and bring up the KM-4530 information page, then click on the "all resources" thing on the right of the screen, and all the firmware will display then, as well as a bunch of other stuff. The network interface firmware is updated from a PC using the "IBverupdate" program, and that requires special drivers installed too. (Reminds me, I have to install than on my new work PC soon). Current level for the NS-30 is 1.4.11. Copier firmware is updated by the compact flash method.

See...? I told you guys I was lacking on my KyoKnowledge lately since we've been... well... never mind. Good info Chris! We've gotten rid of almost ALL our 4530s... they've been money pits.

Thanks Rob!!! It's good to be posting again. Not that I haven't been able to... just got caught up in the "topsy turvy" that is to be expected when the company you work for gets purchased by a major manufacturer. I have missed this forum for several months. The past year has been expectedly overwhelming, and as a result, I found myself instinctively morphing into another style of fulfilling responsibilities and redefining my "methodology" of carrying out specific techniques due to the changes that take place when such occurences happen. I've reflected upon all the positives that these changes have provided, but became ignorant of the negative impact said changes have taken over the past year. I've had an epiphony the other day and realized that I've abanodoned many of the basics that brought me and my team members to this level (one of which has been this forum). And I've come to realize that if you abandon the basics... things can start going backwards when you have every oportuninty to keep it moving forward. I've become what is called and "unconcious incompetent" which is not a good thing. So I'm re-engaging many of the basics that made me who I am. Otherwise, "failure" is inevitable. And dang it if I'm just too effing stubborn to accept that. Therefore, I am who I am!!! Amen,
Dan Hill
Expect to see more from me from now on...
