KM-4035 scan to pc or scan to email. I have a customer that scans and faxes a lot of legal along with their letter documents so they want to put their originals in the letter R way. When they scan 8.5 x 11R documents they come out sideways unless you hit orientation and change it to letter R. They dont want to have to spread the adf guides out and put the originals in the ll x 8.5 inch way. I cant find any default programing to make it scan 8.5 x 11R and come out right by default. Is there any?

Had to deal with this issue also, never could find a solution that really satisfies the customer. If the default file format is PDF, when the customer opens it with adobe reader there should be a "rotate" button in the top menu bar that should allow them to orient the image the way they want it then resave it. In Adobe Reader 9 this is available under the "View" tab, then the user can select "Rotate View" to rotate the image clockwise or counter clockwise.

I had a customer with a similar issue while back and changing the Original Set Direction in the machine default settings I was able to correct. Not sure if setting will follow to scan form feeder. They can always change the set direction at time of scan as well. Do not have one in my office to check but I think the setting is under the edit tab.

when they send the scan go to the menu on the right and touch original set direction and change to left top corner and it fixes the problem I was able to duplicate it here at my office ..

Hopakski -- There is no Original Set Direction in the machine default settings on this machine. I was curious so I checked on a newer machine(5035) and that one had it. maybe I'll try upgrading firmware and see if I get it.
Rodman -- yes they can do this but they dont want to, you know customers.
