Can anyone assist with what is probably a very easy fix? I need to open up the margins on a 3830 printer. Customer is using Stamps.com and when printing on envelopes from the bypass envelope feeder it cuts off the top of the stamp. Need to open it up about 2mm. Thanks Z No HOPE, just BROKE. If stamps.com uses pdf for printing, have you played with acrobat's "Page Scaling" in the print options? If you really need to mess with prescribe: I've never messed with these, but this might help: "To enable Full Page printing on a FS-1750 set the following: !R! FRPO R3,1; FRPO D1,1; FRPO L1,00; FRPO L2,84; FRPO L3,01; FRPO L4,00; FRPO L5,10; FRPO L6,97; FRPO L7,08; FRPO L8,46; EXIT;" R3 allows margin adjustments in pcl D1 allows full page bleed in some ancient printers, but it can't hurt L1-L8 are hard margins but aren't documented in the tech reference. A1-A8 are user margins, and they seem to operate similarly. L1-L8 are interface independent, while A1-A8 are interface dependent. To see what your hard margins are currently, print out a service status page and look in the box at the bottom labeled "Service Information". The third line down should look something like "/0099/0102/1061/0811/" and some other boring numbers. The "/0099/0102/1061/0811/" is L1-L8, where L1=00, L2=99, etc. To print out a box that will show the margin edges, send this to the printer: "!R! UNIT I; MZP 0,0; BOX 30,30; PAGE; EXIT;"

Dont you use a print driver with stamps ? if you are changing the prescribe will not help

Different emulations also have different margins. Might try switching the PDL (if KX driver is used) or a mini driver. Relax? When?!

As I see it, the customer clicks to print in Word and it is setup to insert the stamp. The driver being used is the standard KM driver. I have to go back this week I will try different emulation. and the commands given. I'll drop a line when I figure it out. Thanks Guys Z No HOPE, just BROKE. Anyone else - 2012
