I have a 2230 that I customer upgraded to Vista. Has anyone found a work around for this? Kyocera has recomended using
an HP color driver. This worked but only only in B&W.

they didn't. they just said to use an HP driver. I tried the HP9500 color driver. I also noticed that the XP driver is
a PCL5c and the Vista is a PCL5. The HP has a color tab and the vista does not.

bud, try an HP Color laserjet 5500 PCL5, I'm not sure if this will work, but good luck! It worked with a 3232 color
machine.
I was just looking at the PDF for that machine, does it have the optional fiery installed? If it does manufacturer
of the fiery system would be able to help, unless Kyocera is making them??? Dan Hill alert This message has been edited. Last edited by: Airborne,
It is pretty crazy there are no vista compatible drivers for that machine yet, it's not like Vista was a big secret and been
in production for years now. Beta copies have been released for years now and the manufacturers are definately behind the
power curve on this.
To
Bud: I installed that driver on my Vista Business Machine so at least know it does show the color options available, just
hope the machine will work properly with it.
I found this interesting document doing some research on this whole XP/Vista driver issue, it is long but does give an overview
of what may or may not work when using XP drivers in Vista:
