I have recently upgraded the firmware on a KM-3050 which was scanning to a 2003 Server using the special Scan File Utility, Application, and Kyocapture. After upgrading the firmware, I can no longer connect to scan. Printing works fine. Do I need to scan to SMB? Is there an updated version of Scan File Utility? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, I believe you need to remove that special Scanner File Utility and install the latest version (4.10.xx I think) posted on KMAConnect

Look through the release notes. With version I believe 2.41 you will need to go into Sim 510 and set to 2 for scanner file utility. You will then have the ability to use SFU.

Very simple. I left scanner file utility alone. Changed Sim 510 Enterprise mode to '2'. This will bring up the Scanner File Uility icon under the 'Application' key on the copier. Then configure the utility using the browser. There is a SFU address book tab under the Basic tab. This seems much easier than scanning via SMB. No passwords or authentication required. Thanks for everyone's input!
