Has anyone had issues connecting to an smtp server running lotus notes? I keep getting an error e020, the log file in lotus notes shows the connection but drops the connection without sending the email. I've tried it with and without authentication. This is a large corporate environment with a hardware firewall, they are using norton corporate edition which really is about the least intrusive version i've had experience with.
I have a customer that has no problem. They also use LDAP. I would suspect an authentication issue. Not very likely it would be firewall or you wouldn't see the connection in the log file. I would also check to make sure they aren't set to require SSL (or a custom port number) - this might explain why it would log but not accept.

Hey Airborne, can you fill me in on exactly what you had to do here? We are having the same error 020 issue on one machine. They are a court reporting business that scans their court records to email to various attorneys. A lot of error 020 codes. Do I go into the scan with a browser to set the scan time, or is it on scan defaults in the display? Thanks for any advice!!! Foos

Sim 506, default is 10 seconds. It may also be helpful to make sure the machine firmware is up to date, esp. mmi, Kyocera told me that mmi is directly updating the scanner.
Thanks! I changed the default from 10 to 120. She'll be THRILLED if this fixes the problem. It's done that for the 2 years they've had the machine but she has just put up with it. The other day she finally complained about it. We'll see. FoosThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Foos,
