I have a client with a 6030 print driver installed on the server. The problem is when they try to create a custom size for
the bypass the "new" button is grayed out. However its not grayed out on the server. The driver on the server has been auto
configured. I have only talked to them over the phone so I'm not ruling out operator error or operator confusion. Any help
would be great.

Hi,
might be a permission problem if you can do it on the server and not on the client? you might have to set it in the driver on the server for the user to see the paper size at their end? Regards |

Yes thanks. I will make the custom on the server and it'll show up on the workstation. But I still wonder why that would have
to be permitted by the server.

Glad it worked!
I think the user can only do basic printing due to security on workstation for his user account. It ensures they dont play around with the device settings and the like. |

Custom size has allways been controlled on the server side. If you as an administrator create a size for all users, and you
have 40 users changing that size, you have no control on what that setting is. However many of the "secure settings have changed
with the new kx4.4.0403 and i havent looked at this one yet. You may want to try it, it may be allowed. Full control of the
driver will give the user access for sure.
