Unless you have a corrupt download, my thought is that scan file utility is being installed on your computer. When it first runs the only change you will see is a small icon on your task bar next to the clock.

Double click on the new icon and select setup. If setup is greyed out you may have to stop scanner service before you can configure it.

Then you should be able to add new folders to utility and set scanner users using web browser to scan IP address.

Should be self-extracting, check start programs, scanner user software, see if it installed and you need to double click scanner file utility to start it. You could check add remove programs list to see if it is listed. There may be registry entries left over from the first driver that are corrupted. I had a customer who got a virus and it corrupted SFU, after they fixed the problem I just reinstalled SFU. They may need a third party uninstaller. You could also search program files for any remaining SFU files and delete them. Also reboot the computer before you try to install again, sometimes it helps get things back in order.
