When printing an 11x17" document via the PS driver the machine will not select the ledger size tray. If a user prints the exact same document via the PCL driver it works perfectly.

Any ideas?

What program are you printing from? sometimes the KPDL driver is not the best choice. Also when you look at your PDL make sure that 'allow data passthrough' is unchecked. Verify that the copier (mfp) printer interface is set to the same emulation as the PDL chosen.

Beware of what you are becoming while on the road to what you want.

Thanks for the "allow data pass through" response. That was indeed the issue.

Once again I'll ask the question:

Why isn't the dang 'Allow Data Pass Through' just off by default? It seems like there's little (if any)need to have it on and it certainly creates a LOT of problems....

Relax? When?!
