Question:
I am looking at a Cs-2530 on a network with 4 maybe 5 PCs. Scans the original and the setting is set to pdf so it is to arrive at the specific PC in pdf format. This function no longer arrives at the PC in pdf automatically (even though at the copier the format is pdf ). I verified this on 2 of the PCs so suspect the issue is at the copier. The only way it gets to the PC in pdf is if the file name is manually changed, and then it gets to the PC in pdf format. This network has been working for a while and this issue just started now. Is there a setting that I need to double check or reset?
*Other note: customer said it displayed a notice that "scan file counter is up to 999,999 scans". I checked sim. 991, I reset them from 192144 / 096832 ( both to zero ), but I'm not sure if this counter would have anything to do with the 999k scans limit or if it even has anything to do with the scan to pdf format problem. I did not see that message displayed.
Any suggestions is appreciated.

I would go to the web page of the scanner and check the firmware level. If it is old get new. install the packet drivers and run ibverup utiliy and update the scan system. If that doesn't work, since it is only 5 pcs go to sim 504 (initialize NIC) and re-install the pcs.

I have been given a bulletin # SB-5966 which seems to fit this symptom and also what you have suggested (regarding upgrading the Scanner File Utility).
We are now setting up IT service for this.

Just curious - does it make it to the PC as a TIFF or just not at all? If you set it to TIFF format does it make it?
