Customer has a multi page doc with the first being a cover.
Cover has grayscale blocks in various spots on the page. When the customer faxes using the driver, the blocks send B&W not grayscale. If he prints the doc, it's fine. Anyone know of this issue? Haven't totally researched yet. |

Imaging god |
That is because it is going through a fax.
If he had printed it normally and faxed that same cover page the conventional way by scanning, the result would be the same. Faxes are bi-tonal in normal/fine/superfine modes. There is no Halftone mode in the NW-Fax driver, and it would make the transmission time multiple minutes per page if you did have it (8 times as many bits, and no v.34 compression). Your customer has a fundamental misunderstanding of fax imaging. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com |
