It seems like you had to turn on the web browser.

I set them up with my web page as the home page.

Hopefully they will expand the Kyocera Website for use with this. Sharp has instructional videos that can be accessed from theirs, but you have to sell them 'OSA' for them to get the web browser - so if KMA got on the stick they'd be ahead...

Yes you do have to have the gateway info, easiest if you turn on DHCP for the copier.

Of course with our first machine, I did try to see if it would do any blocking of questionable web sites. You can definitely browse porn on the display. Just one step away from printing it directly. Thumbs up

what is the purpose of browsing the internet from the copier?? You can't print anything, kinda goofy, like the hot-glue binder on a Mita DC1455

I dunno, but I can envision attaching scans to email being composed on a web-based server like Gmail or Yahoo, once Kyocera figures how to make that happen.

I was quite shocked to find that you can't print from the web interface - they really need to do something about that. It would also be nice to be able to print and view PDF's.

There a a lot of possibilities for the web viewer.
Of course, as usual Chris's suggestion is a great one.
Ultimately it would be nice to be able to upload a custom link page to the machines - with links to help pages, the user's manual, Supply and Service request links to the dealer's website, etc.
Perhaps these would be best if handled from the dealer end - then the content could be updated without touching the machines.

We just had a big KM party for the TA, we all asked the same question. They had a sly smile on their face, and said something is coming in the very near future. some kinda third party app!
