Has anybody set one of these up to scan? They want something a little different than I'm used to on the Falcon 1/2's and Falcon 3's as far as the path to the file. They show it as \\<computer name or IP address> \ <share folder>. I don't have a problem with the computer name/IP address. I can't seem to get the share folder correct and instructions are minimal as usual. I have the file on the root of the C: drive with sharing and permissions set the same as SMB scanning and file sharing excepted in the Firewall. I can print to the machine just fine. I'd appreciate any comments on this. Thanks.

Can you access the Shared Folder from another workstation? If not, the permissions settings for the folder are the most likely cause. Had one the other day, that even with all permissions set for "Everyone" no-one could access the folder. Finally deleted that folder and created a new one, it worked just fine, go figure.

I set one of these up a while ago. I believe the issue I had was the authentication. If the pc is on a domain the user has to be Domain\User. If a workgroup try Workgroup\user.

I was setting this up in the shop with our very simple network. No domains and I don't think any workgroups. Never did figure out how to get it to scan to file. Anyway it's on site now with their IT person scheduled in early next week so maybe I'll get a look after they are done. It is in the city wastewater facility so it was a "s**ttty job to start with. Razz
