I recently had to deploy SMB scanning to about 20 workstations and decided to write a batch file to make my life easier. In an ongoing effort to make all of your lives easier as well, I decided to post it here. A little bit about what it does: 1. Creates a user 'Scanner' with a password of 'Kyocera99' 2. Creates a folder on all user's desktop and shares it. 3. Grants Full Access to the Folder 4. Creates File Sharing Exception in XP FirewallThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Scotty, Relax? Another tip for using this - slip it into the login script for their users (if they use one) a couple of days before you go out and all the workstations will be ready to go - just add them into the address book. Relax? When?! | |||
