Have on hooked up to a mac everything works great but the customer wants the machine to tell them if the paper is out when there printing so it comes up on there screen and tells them.I was wondering if it can do this i know you would need the monitoring software but i don't think they make a mac verison.Thanks for any help.

If there is a Windows PC (preferably a server) somewhere on the network, KM-Netviewer Web Edition could be used, and the Mac user could use a web browser to run the software. If there is a Mac version of HP Jet-admin, there is a check-box in the NIC of the print system to make it Jet-admin compatible.

I'm haven't spent a lot of time with the new web interface of these new print systems, but I think they have all the features of the older IB-21e NICs, so it could be configured to send an email on detection of a problem, such as paper empty.

If it is connected as a local printer by USB, I have no idea for a solution.
