KM-5050 Punching all print job

Hello guys, I have a customer that prints using a unix program that they have no access to. They would like for every printed page to be 3-hole punched, we have older Ricoh copier that can do this function for them, but they are old copiers. We would like to upgrade them with Kyocera copiers, but we run into the same problem as the Ricoh's. They sort, duplex, but no punch. We tried the prescribe command on the falcon 1 series, again no punch. I have gotten it to punch while sending a print job (status page) through the web page. Not while sending a print job from there network. Does this copier or any Kyocera (B/W) have this capability?
Thank you for your help.

I actually have had a request from a customer with a KM-6030 to configure a virtual print port that would hole-punch the entire print job (as well as the formatting commands used on their other virtual ports). I have not found the correct way to do this yet myself.

The hole punch command sent from a 5050 windows driver is PJL. Would those commands work?
@PJL SET KPUNCHOPTION=MAIN
@PJL SET FINISH=KPUNCH

You could probably do this with IClink and a CompactFlash card. Try creating a Prescribe macro consisting of the punch command. This will be the overlay for your form. Add the macro as a resource in IClink. Select Project>Build... to send the macro data to the CompactFlash card. Then use the Multi-Part Form Creator tool to create the CCPY ON.PRN and CCPY OFF.PRN files using the macro form as your overlay. Make sure the "Data/Overlay" setting is set to "Data and Overlay". Open up CCPY ON.PRN in any text editor and delete all CMNT commands and carriage returns to make the entire series of commands fit onto one line and take up less space. Then copy and paste the whole thing into the "Start String" field for Logical Printer "lp1" (or whichever on is using port 9100). Do the same thing for the CCPY OFF.PRN file except paste that into the "Stop String" field. I'm not 100% sure this will work with the punch command, but I used this setup to overlay a bitmap of a signature on every page for a customer running pre-printed checks. Worked great for that. Good luck...

But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

The customer could always buy pre-punched paper, but I guess that could cause possible feed issues...

This could eliminate the need for them to purchase the hole punch option too.
