This is probably a dumb question, but the customer is a good drive away. Anyway, they say they have to walk over to the copier and hit the printer button before it will allow them to send a print job from their desktop. In the past these print systems have always defaulted to online. Do I need to change a setting? TIAFYH Doug

This would be normal operation if the print job is trying to print from the bypass tray. Customer may not even be aware that MS Office page defaults will override the print driver settings. Some documents have the bypass tray as the default print source. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com

I agree, the purpose of the bypass is for using diffrent paper types without having to open, empty, and fill a cassette drawer. the reason it has you go to the machine is to make sure you have the correct stock in the bypass, incase sally or sam has filled it with something else. Thanks for the info. Upon arrival, I could not get it to fail to print. I did instruct the customer as to the use of the bypass and paper selection. Time will tell.
