Where can I find a list of scanner error codes for a 3530. Customer is getting E-022.

That error code means the mail contained an e-mail address that the SMTP server can not find. Check the destination e-mail address was entered correctly. This info can be found on the mita web site under technical resources, legacy products, 3530, scan system operators guide.

This is the problem.. Customer has had the email address for there contacts set up for a long time now, and all of a sudden the EO22 starts to show. Any idea on what might have messed up, or maybe got turned off by IT Guy..

I don't know if this relates but we had a 4030 with scan start giving us a problem, no codes but it appeared to scan fine but when you went to the computer and pulled it up the file was empty. We had to change the engine pcb to resolve the problem. Good luck!

I had a 3530 on a fairly good size network that was having problems scanning to in house pc's and emails. I usually keep records of my weird calls but can't locate this one, sorry, I do remember two different error codes and I think one of them was 22, not positive, the error codes were intermittant and seemed random, i.e. scanning to PC or emailing, the customer swore it was only on large scan jobs but it coded on light jobs too. You would put the documents in the ADF and scan and it would sit there like it was trying to scan maybe pull a few and stop or scan the whole thing and never make the destination folder, like Hutch's. I do remember replacing the scanner nic because it was very costly, , the problem was fixed.

MIS dude probably invoked smtp authentication on their email server or changed the scanner to point to theit internal email server. Their are lots of softweare programs that filter outgoing emails now...

Sorry I took so long to get back.. Me and the IT guy went round and round for a while until he finally admitted that it was his fault.. I told him this for the past month.. Most of these guys cause more trouble than good...
