| What error? Have them press the printer button and see what it says. |

| I had something similar on a 2030. I found the fix here in Dnet. Right click my computer-manage-services and applications-services-print spooler-right click, restart. |

| Craig, Windows print server is timing out and giving you that message, the print job is not getting to the printer fast enough for some reason. Since you say it eventually prints the problem is most likely in the connection between the computer and the printer. Is it networked, or USB direct connection? If networked, do any of the other computers have problems printing to it? How are the print jobs routed? Do they go direct to the printer (local printer using IP port) from the computer, or do they go via a server que (network printer with host name)?
The best way I have found to PROVE your machine is not the problem is to take a notebook PC with you and connect directly to the printer using the same connection they do and print a 10-20 page job from the notebook. I even have them "Clik Print" on the notebook so they can see it work.
I usually follow-up this demonstration with the question, "Who is your network administrator? We need to talk because your network is not working very well." |

| Is the machine hooked into a small switch or hub? If so, I have seen where the switch was going bad and didnt send the job completely or it would be extremely slow. If this is the case, replace the switch or hub. If it hooked into the network, try switching the ports on the network switch.
