Anyone have any suggestions for a good OCR software. I keep getting this question from customers because paperport just does not seem to do a very good job. Just dragging and dropping into word seems to be an issue with the tiff files. Yes

I hear good things about OmniPage (also made by Scansoft).

But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Another I have tried is Readiris Pro.
You can download a trial version for 30
days.

OmniPage and PaperPort both have a hard time properly formatting Angry, also tried ReadIris and while the wizard is pretty user friendly it still had issues properly converting/formatting a word document. I will try abby next, that is if they have a trial edition Confused4

Going to try this with a Muratec next to see if it has something to do with the scanning on a Kyocera.

I have used the most recent version of OmniPage and was quite impressed. I OCR'd a customer's newsletter and it cut all of the pictures out and formatted them in a Word document that looked virtually identical to the original.

Relax? When?!
