I have the people in the address book fine, but I still get error messages when I try to scan to Email, Wondering if I am
missing something in the machine part when I set it up in the print scan parameters.
Any ideas |

Have you made all the settings for the scanner card? Registering the E-mail server address, telling the scanner which pc the
address book is located on, etc.
If you've done all the set-up steps for the scanner card, I'd start looking at firewall settings. Also, if you used an older version of address book editor you might want so make sure that your IP address is still there ( sometimes it resets to 0.0.0.0) If life doesn't also hand you water and sugar your lemonade is going to be pretty bitter |

Try pinging the smtp (or whatever server they are running smtp on) server. Make sure SMTP is enabled in the command center.

There is a very silly setting on the new "Command Center". You can set up your SMTP server and all of that stuff, but it
defaults to having the "Enable SMTP" checkbox set to off. It is also very nice that pretty much everything in the user's
manual tells you to refer to the advanced user's guide.
Relax? When?! |

Ive noticed that if I dont have the reply address filled in the email settings that I get errors. This could be a requirement
of my smtp server though. just a thought

I believe it is required by the scan system (probably the smtp server too). I think there is a new manual just for the scan
system on these.
Relax? When?! |
