I just installed 3 3050's and a 6030 they are printing thru an AS/400, but they also want to be able to scan. I don't think the 6030 will be a problem as it has a seperate nic. I am hoping that I can istall a switch on the 3050's. Has anyone else ever tried this? I have a few days to figure something out because they have to runs extra drops.

Quack,
I wouldn't think it would be a problem with either machine as long as everything is on the same network that you are printing from and scanning to.

Correct - should be no problem if they are on the same LAN. If they are separate LAN's you would have to use a bridge to connect the two LAN's together - but if they aren't already doing this, that may be undesirable to them (it would join the two networks together).

Relax? When?!

You may want to test the AS-400 printing through an external ethernet to USB print server to see if that works, then just connect the network connection to the new ethernet ports for the scanning.
