Hey folks, We have a Royal 4530 with connectivity problems with the scanner. When the customer tries to connect to the scanner to scan it reports the error "Unable to connect to Scanner" Then if they close the application and open it up a couple of times it will suddenly connect. We have updated all firmware and software. We have also changed all wiring and hubs. Any other suggestions? Thanks Duane Guideline

My experience is that the TWAIN driver sucks for all the scan systems. If the scanner is assigned an IP with DHCP, the DHCP server has to be configured and functioning perfectly in order to use a host name with TWAIN. If it is a case of a static IP, there could be a duplicate IP address on the network. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com
