I am beating my brains out on this one. I have installed the WIA driver via hardware wizard multiple times, USB unplugged and plugged. Customer is on a shared exec office suites network and does not want any shared folders so no network scanning is possible. What are the tricks to get local usb scanning to work on an older Dell Windows XP machine?

Hi Xeroid

I have always had issues with the WIA driver on XP. I always used the TWAIN driver.

Yes IQ is correct.

The WIA driver is designed specifically for Windows Vista or 7. For XP, the TWAIN driver is the way to go.
