This is a weird one. Scanning color originals to folder on pc using a KM 5050. The scans in the pc folder are black and white. We have tried scanning jpeg, tiff and pdf with same result. Color document is selected in quick set up on send screen. Scan still appears as black and white on pc. Tried reformat of HD, no change. Hotline is stumped. New machine, just delivered last week. Anybody have any suggestions. Thank you.

Sorry - just have to confirm some things.

1. If you scan to JPG is it actually a JPG when it hits the PC or is it something else?

3. Does this occur on multiple PC's?

4. Have you re-flashed the firmware?

5. Does reducing or increasing the resolution change anything?

6. Does scan to email work in color?

7. If you set the scan defaults to color mode does it work?

Another point: Is at any time OCR mode being selected. That forces to B/W mode every time.
