In class in Chicago, we were told that you can upgrade firmware from the CF slot. That was the extent of the conversation. Did you want to load macros or fonts? =^..^=

I had heard at one point that the only way to 're-flash' the same firmware version (in case of corruption) was by using a CF card. I was told the USB method checks the version - if it's the same it won't re-flash it and moves to the next chunk. I do believe it is also slower than USB - at least that seems like it was the case on Falcon III's.
