Does anyone know if the flash card slot behind the rear cover works? or if you can use it?

In class in Chicago, we were told that you can upgrade firmware from the CF slot. That was the extent of the conversation.

Did you want to load macros or fonts? =^..^=

I had heard at one point that the only way to 're-flash' the same firmware version (in case of corruption) was by using a CF card. I was told the USB method checks the version - if it's the same it won't re-flash it and moves to the next chunk.

I do believe it is also slower than USB - at least that seems like it was the case on Falcon III's.
